All this hype about how the Apple(tm) Mac(tm) is better than Linux, Windows and sliced bread has now been completely proven wrong.

Trying to help the smarter one in the family produce CDs of pictures of the homeschool history she has been doing for the past six months, and let me tell you the Apple UI is a CF (I'll let you guess what that means) of poor design.

You can't burn a copy of an iPhoto(tm) slide show to CD. You can burn an album, but not a slide show. If you burn an album you get a bunch of directories and several copies of your images.

Finder is the worst user interface ever. It is hard to go into how broken it is. Give me a Gnome's file thingy any day. In finder it has the list of folders(?) on the left. You can create a new folder in it, but if you drag it to your user folder, poof! An animated puff of smoke and it is gone, along with anything that is in it. Who knows where in the filesystem those things are stored. I certainly couldn't find it without dragging out the terminal window and some find CLI fu.

So, all you Apple fanboys. You can never say that this Linux fanboy is taking down your choice. I know from experience that Mac's suck.
